Rides leave from the U. S. Forest Service office at 4 Lost Lodge Road which is off of NM 130 in Cloudcroft. The get there from El Paso take US 54 to Alamogordo. Take the bypass around Alamogordo to US 82. The turn off to US 82 is on the north end of town where the bypass intersects again with US 54/70 (aka White Sands Blvd.) At the stop light go straight through the intersection on to US 82. Follow US 82 about 16 miles to Cloudcroft. As you arrive at the top of the hill and just as you get into Cloudcroft turn right onto NM 130. The Forest Service office will be on your right about 1 mile from the intersection of US 82 and NM 130.
